            CASA DE LOS  SUENOS 
               
               Adjacent to Parque  Los Suenos (see Nearby Attractions) their restaurant comes highly  recommended for a casual atmosphere, spectacular sunset views and gourmet  dining. Along with dinner they also offer breakfast and all-day grill from 11AM  - 9PM.  
               
              At various  times of year, Los Suenos also stages spectacular fire dancing shows, live  music acts, or movie nights on Friday and Saturday night.  (Call, email, or Facebook for details.) 
               
              Also check  for Los Suenos' other special events -   including Super Bowl party and 4th of July celebrations. Holiday-themed menus  are also offered  on Thanksgiving and  Christmas Day, and Easter Sunday.

              LIMON  
               
               Located in the La Gloria neighborhood, Limon is often rated the island's top restaurant for several great reasons: The food, the service, the decor and your host, Sergio, who's often seen cooking at the grill in the courtyard at this intimate townhouse restaurant. 
               
              DIRECTIONS TO LIMON RESTAURANT: From the front gate, make a left and towards the cell phone tower. Walk or drive past the cell phone tower for three blocks and make another left. Limon  is located four blocks down the street on your left.  
               
              NOTE: At  Limon, no credit cards are accepted. It's CASH ONLY, and payment can be made in  pesos or American dollars.  Open from 4PM  to 11PM on weekdays.

              For more down-home flavor, check out the following restaurants located in La Gloria, the  residential neighborhood down the road. These local, family-run establishments are not fancy but offer authentic Mexican dishes, freshly cooked ingredients and friendly service. Reservations not required, and bring pesos! 
             
THE CLOSET 
               
              Don't be put off by the outside. It's bright and spacious inside. And the home cooking is delicious. A local couple run the place. The portions are generous and the price is right. Don't miss this hidden gem! 
               
              DIRECTIONS TO THE CLOSET: Head north on the main road until you come to cemetery road. Make a left . At the end of the block you're there. 
               
            JAMMIN GRILL 
               
              You'll know  this tiny neighborhood restaurant from its short stairway leading up to bright  pink facade. Although fresh barbecue dishes are their specialty, Jammin Grill also serves one of the best chicken mole dishes in town.  
   
              DIRECTIONS TO JAMMIN GRILL:  At the front gate, make a left and head toward the cell phone tower. Continue  on for three blocks further and make another left. Follow the road two blocks until you come to a double-wide avenue. You'll find Jammin Grill on the far  right corner. 
             
BASTOS GRILL 
               
               Portions  are large, so if you're really hungering for fresh guacamole, pico de gallo,  fajitas or enchiladas, Bastos is often cited as having the best-tasting  authentic Mexican food on Isla Mujeres.  
               
            DIRECTIONS:  From Limon (see directions, above) walk the half block toward the town square and make an immediate right. Turn left before you get to the Super Express Grocery. Head down the street and look for Bastos' blue awning. 
            LA BRUJA 
               
               Pronounced  "la-brew-ha" (The Witch) La Bruja serves up Mexican cooking wizardry most  nights - but they sometimes keep an erratic schedule. 
  
              Keep trying and it's worth a return trip for a generous menu of authentic Mexican dishes, friendly service, and the coldest beer in town!
  Word is that after COVID, they are only doing take out. Still worth the visit. Cochenita Pebil is served up on Sunday early but you need to order ahead to get some. 
             
            DIRECTIONS: At the front gate, make a left and head for the cell phone tower and Cemetery Road. Make a left on Cemetery Road. At the first intersection, make a sharp right and another immediate sharp right heading up the parallel road to La Bruja.

               Who needs to go downtown? Yes, the Punta Sur area has its own live music scene! You'll find it at The  Joint -- just a stone's throw away from Garrafon Park heading down the road from the park entrance -- with regularly scheduled performances by popular music group, The Sol Rockers, and other local bands. Their frozen mojito gets raves.

               Isla Mujeres' own open air cantina is a hot spot for fun. The food is good, drinks are too. Service is always dependable. Stop in for the live music all day everyday and discover why this gets such raves from return customers. It's a total experience that will be a highlight of your Isla trip.
